Why These Are Important Newborn photos are not just about how your baby looked. They are about how it felt to hold them close. The weight of them in your arms. The quiet moments in between feeds and settling. It is a season that shifts daily. Subtle changes you do not notice until they have already passed. Photographing this time allows you to return to it, long after it is gone.

The Studio Your session takes place in my Pimpama Heights studio, designed to feel calm, warm, and easy from the moment you walk in. Everything is set up with new parents in mind, so you do not have to think about what to bring or how it will all work. There is space to settle, feed, and take your time. Nothing is rushed.
In Home Sessions If you would prefer to stay at home, sessions can also take place in your own space. This can feel slower and more familiar, especially in those early days.
How It Works Newborn sessions are not booked to a fixed date. Instead, I reserve a limited number of due dates each month. This gives you the flexibility to wait until your baby arrives, settle in, and then choose a session time when you feel ready. Most families book during pregnancy to make sure they have a place held.
The Approach My work leans toward a natural, lifestyle approach. I will not ask you to hold still or look at the camera. I will guide you where needed, but mostly I will give you space to be with your baby, because that is where the most meaningful images come from.
Styling You do not need to plan outfits or coordinate colours. I will help you choose pieces from the client wardrobe that sit well together and photograph in a way that feels natural and considered. Nothing overly styled, nothing that will date. Everything is chosen to keep you comfortable while still feeling like yourself.
A Note for Families with Toddlers You are not expected to have children who sit still or follow direction. The space allows for movement, breaks, and flexibility, so they can come in and out of the session without pressure. We work around them, not the other way around.
Kids Room
I’ve thoughtfully created a dedicated children’s space within the studio, designed to keep little ones happy, relaxed, and entertained throughout your experience.
With a selection of toys, books, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere, it allows your children to feel comfortable while we gently guide them in and out of the session when needed.
This means you can enjoy a more relaxed, stress-free photoshoot knowing your little ones are cared for, content, and included in a natural and beautiful way.
